 We are committed to breeding the finest European Warmbloods for dressage and jumping.  Our foundation mares are keur Dutch Warmbloods with impressive bloodlines and athletic ability.  We carefully select the best stallions from throughout the world to breed world class sport horses using the most advanced reproductive technologies, including artificial insemination and embryo transfer.  Maple Crest Farm is located near Myerstown in beautiful Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.

BIOGRAPHY
Sharon Henney Anderson, Ph.D. earned a B.S. in Animal Bioscience and a M.S. degree in Animal Science from Penn State University. She took numerous courses in equine management, nutrition and reproduction. Sharon also holds a Doctorate degree in Physiology from Penn State University.  Not only does she specialize in assisted reproductive technologies (A.R.T.) in horses, but she is also directs a human A.R.T. laboratory.  Dr. Anderson is a board-certified High-Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) and is the Scientific Director for a private infertility center (www.familyfertlity.com) in Allentown and A.R.T. Consulting.  

  Dr. Anderson is board-certified in both embryology and andrology by the American Association of Bioanalysts (A.A.B).  She has a successful home equine breeding program, and she offers professional embryology services for equine breeders.

SOLD.  Zachary (ster) is a 2004 Dutch Warmblood by Consul out of our keur mare - Netian Joy (Ahorn Z).  After being purchased by Virginia McNeil of Upland Farms, Zachary was awared 2007 Reserve Champion Gelding/Stallion Jumper by the KWPN of North America.  He has been awarded the ster predicate by the Dutch.  Zachary's is successfully shown as "High Consul".  Congratulations Virginia McNeil!

In 2007 Maple Crest welcomed the gorgeous 16.3H black, Approved Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) stallion - VDL Laroche.  He was Champion of the National Stallion Jumping at Stallionshow Den Bosch, Holland.  He has one of the highest Jumping Breeding Index of any Dutch Warmblood stallion standing in  North America.  His 2007 Dutch Jumping Breeding Index is 145, with an 83% Reliability!  He is a modern-type black stallion with a gorgeous face and quiet temperament. For more information, click on his picture above.

NETIAN APPROVED HANOVERIAN - SEPTEMBER 2006
Imported keur Dutch Warmblood mare Netian was awarded High Point Champion of the Mare Performance Test and Non-Hanoverian Categories in July 2006 at the American Hanoverian Society's Inspection at Rolling Stone Farm.  Netian scored 9's on her jumping technique and ability!  She also scored and 8's for her walk and canter. Her overall score was 8.22! Netian was born in the Netherlands and is a keur mare with the KWPN, and she is now approved by the Hanoverian Society.

Netian was awarded MAIN Mare Book - PREMIUM at the American Holsteiner Inspection at beautiful Winley Farm in Millbrook, NY.

In 2007, Chardonnay was born via embryo transfer out of Netian (keur) by the Dutch stallion Indoctro (pref) . He is currently ranked among the top ten jumping stallions by the WBFSH!  For more information about Indoctro, visit www.vdlstud.nl Chardonnay is now owned by Virginia McNeil.  Her show name is Charlotte.
